Context of Role
Operating within IPPF’s global humanitarian framework, the role supports MAs in South and Southeast Asia (SARO and ESEAOR) under the SPRINT programme (Sexual and reproductive health in crisis and post-crisis situations). The Advisor works across diverse humanitarian settings to enable locally led, feminist approaches to SRH in Emergencies (SRHiE), including SGBV response (Sexual and Gender Based-Violence). The role interacts with internal teams, donors, and external partners to position MEAL as a core component of programme design and delivery.
Role Purpose
Guide the integration of evidence-driven approaches across IPPF’s humanitarian portfolio to strengthen performance, learning and impact. Recommend using the MEAL approach (Monitoring, Evaluating, Accountability and Learning) strategies to Member Associations (MAs) and humanitarian teams in order to enable ethical, accountable and effective programme delivery. Shape monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure compliance with international standards and donor requirements.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with feminist and community-led MEAL approaches.
- Familiarity with donor frameworks (USAID, FCDO, ECHO, UN) and humanitarian coordination mechanisms (IAWG, GBV AoR, Health Cluster).
- Experience training and mentoring teams on M&E frameworks.
- Proven leadership in managing M&E of restricted programmes.
- Experience working in diverse cultural contexts.
- Fluency in Arabic, French or Spanish.
